About our dojo
The body should be triangular, the mind circular. The triangle represents the generation of energy and is the most stable physical posture. The circle symbolizes serenity and perfection, the source of unlimited techniques. The square stands for solidity, the basis of applied control. - Morihei Ueshiba
Mt Washington Aikido was originally founded in 2011 by Sensei Jack Henry. MWA has had several locations in different North Conway fitness studios, but our current home is inside Kwoon Karate Academy in Conway, New Hampshire. MWA teaches Aikikai Aikido and is a member of Aikido of Hawaii International (AHI).
MWA welcomes members of every race, gender, identity and ability. MWA is proud to support MeTooAikido and their belief that all persons have the right to practice Aikido free of sexual harassment and abuse. Mt Washington Aikido strives to provide a welcoming dojo of focused study of the Art of Aikido. We would like to introduce you to our Art and nurture your goals within your martial arts journey. Aikido is more than martial arts, it's a form of personal wellness and way to master yourself through movement. We are a small, 501(c)(3) non-profit dojo. If you'd like to support our dojo with a donation, please click the link below to be taken to our PayPal donation page. Thank you.
